Accumulations is a series of movement studies made with long exposures. Some of the images are simple observations of how different movements (i.e., martial arts, dance, a kayak on a river) look when draw out over an extended period of time. Other images are expressions of how less specific movements (i.e., walking) interact with an environment and move through a wider space. The photographs are an effort to see what forms occur out of every instant of an event being recorded over time. It is hoped that the evidence left of the movement over the duration of the exposure might offer insight into the experience of performing that movement.
