Waterscapes is a series of long exposure photographs of bodies of water. The images are shot at night or dusk, so that the dim light creates a deep, intense colour cast by way of the long exposure. Through manipulations of light and exposure, I aim to make my subject, water and the natural landscape, appear more unusual and expressive than how we commonly perceive it. My goal is to inspire excitement for the unknown and inscrutable qualities of the world around us, and to feel greater appreciation for our connection with the land and the sea.
